Klay goes to Homecoming! It was his first real dance to ask a girl. He went with a girl that just so happens to be Co-President of his Seminary Class with him. They had a good time. Lots of FUN!

Jacquelyn made the top 5 at Desert Ridge to compete at the East Valley Idol competition. She really had a great time. She performed on her 18th birthday- October 22. She is so TALENTED!

Madelyn was a flying monkey in the school play, "The Wizard of Oz". She survived 6th grade. And she is now on to the Junior High. Yikes!!

Klay ran the 3rd leg of the 4x800 at Regionals and State. He ran his Personal Best of 2:06 at Regionals and 2:05 at State. Breaking the School Record twice with a time of 8:24. The medaled at State coming in 5th place. Klay had a great season.

JACQUELYN's STATE WEEKEND! She had a fabulous time! Playing great music, with great musicians. She got a new pair of earrings for the event!

A game of Rumikub for Grandma Allen. Florenia Helen Watson Allen died 2 days before her 90th birthday. Her funeral was April 18, in Safford. She loved to play games- Spoons, Rummy Royal, and Rumikub especially in the later years of her life. So one final game for her! Kayla, Klay, Uncle Farrell, Mom (Florene).

Brock turned 8 years old! Starting Cub Scouts with his first Den Meeting on April 23rd. He will be baptized on Saturday, May 9. Klay will turn 16 the Sunday before, so he will get to have his older brother baptize him. He is sooooo excited!

Madelyn made it in the Gilbert School District Honor Band. A hard thing to do!
MARCH 18, 2009- SUNS GAME for MadelYn
Madelyn made Honor Band- so her prize or reward was to go to a SUNS game. Her favorite player, #10, Leandro Barbosa, got hurt in the 1st Quarter and did not return. That was a bummer, but we did win! A memory to last for a while!
Violin Honors for Jacquelyn
January 31st and March 13th were Jacquelyn's Regional and State Auditions. She did AWESOME this year-making 1st Violins in Regionals and then finding out she made 1st Violins in STATE! She OWNED it- even on Friday the 13th. That means she is one of the top 20 in the STATE! A task that is difficult to do!

Brock didn't know what to do for Career Day. I told him to go get his Sunday clothes on and be a Seminary Teacher like his dad. He said, "Ok (with a big grin on his face)!" When he came down to eat breakfast he said, "I can be a missionary!" Brock has now already learned/memorized 20 scriptures!

Klay's Basketball Season is OVER. Klay and his best friend, Dallas, after their last game against Skyline. Their record was 1-17.

Rick and Kayla have been married for 19 years and they love spending time together. Especially on Friday nights- going out to eat and talking. Rick is a Seminary Teacher for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Kayla is an Aerobic Instructor for 24 Hour Fitness.
